Pastor Devon "Rev. Dev" Blair
Pastor Devon comes to Chuckatuck after living in Durham, NC the past three years as she worked to earn her Master of Divinity from Duke Divinity School. Wesley Chapel is her first appointment after seminary. She enjoys walking or riding her bike in Chuckatuck.
Pastor Devon was raised in Middlesex County, Virginia, a small costal town about an hour east of Richmond. She came from a family of four, and is the oldest of two daughters. Her dad (Charlie) passed away in February 2016 and her mom (Barbara) and sister (Heather) still live there. She met her husband, Eric, while he was serving in the Navy and she was attending Virginia Wesleyan College. They have two dogs and two cats and love spending time outdoors and with Devon’s family in Middlesex.
Pastor Devon grew up in church attending Lower United Methodist Church in Hartfield, Virginia, and was very involved in her youth group and later campus ministry at Virginia Wesleyan. Her favorite thing to do in ministry is to lead small groups, Bible studies, and be in relationship with people. She believes ministry is all about relationships. She also enjoys leading and planning worship.
Outside of church, she loves spending time with her family and pets, and being outside (at the beach or camping, hiking, biking, landscaping), but she especially loves to be on the water in her new kayak.
